Colonia Agricola is a social cooperative born in the 1940s to give a home to the orphans of farmers who died in the First World War. Today, it is a centre for the rehabilitation and social integration of prisoners and former prisoners through activities connected with organic farming, food laboratories and a cafeteria (itself a symbol of solidarity and integration).
Heads designed the coordinated image of the cafeteria and Colonia Agricola branded products, reinterpreting the lozenge decorations typical of post-First World War farming buildings.
The packaging design appears also as an experiment in social design: the studio provided the pilot designs to the inmates of the Treviso prison, who developed the different formats.
